Number 02: July, 1977. Miss Vida Norwood has been appointed genealogist for the Southwest La. Received ancestor chart from the following: Douglas Leon Stutes. Mr. Douglas Stutes will search his master index containing many thousands of surnames. He has indexed many publications of the South and emphasizes that he offers his service for a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Number 03: November, 1977. Mrs. Rector Land was recently re-elected to the Board of Friends of the Archives of La. from the 7th Congressional District. Received ancestor chart from the following: Daris Deane Hanks. Judge J. Cleveland Fruge is now acting consultant to the Archives of the Baton Rouge Diocese and at his recommendation the Archives is in the process of recording baptisms, marriages, and deaths of the colonial period 1730-1770.
