Back to the Stone Age, Edgar Rice Burroughs
3 Edgar Rice Burroughs Back to the Stone Age
Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc. BTTSA34 Publisher's Edition LIMITED & SPECIAL EDITIONS New
This Limited Edition BACK TO THE STONE AGE novel was first printed in 1937 and now reprinted using the Original Printing Plates! The plates are thought to be the only surviving set of plates for any Burroughs book. While most plates were used for as many as 30 printings, these plates were only used twice - to print the first edition in 1937 and to print the Publisher's Edition in 2015. BACK TO THE STONE AGE was the only pre-war Burroughs title not reprinted by either ERB Inc. or Grosset & Dunlap. BACK TO THE STONE AGE has been printed the same way ERB books were printed 50 years ago – only better. A master printer used the original plates to letterpress print on premium paper which has been sewn and cased into a vintage-style binding, and covered in a dust jacket produced by Phil Normand. Each book is signed and numbered [edition of 300] and features spectacular full-color illustrations – stunning works by some of the best ERB artists past and present. Signed by the publisher, printer, designer, and two of the illustrators, as well as the grandson of Edgar Rice Burroughs. To make this a true one of a kind collectible, In addition to BACK TO THE STONE AGE Publishers Edition you will receive an original electrotype copper printing plate used to print a page of the book! The book and the copper printing plate are secured in a custom clamshell presentation box with gilt titles. This is #34 of 300 and the copper plate used to print page 230 of the book.

Devil Red (Hap Collins and Leonard Pine Novels) (SIGNED), Joe R. Lansdale
8 Joe R. Lansdale Devil Red (Hap Collins and Leonard Pine Novels) (SIGNED)
Knopf 030727098X / 9780307270986 1st HARDCOVER Used; Like New
Small Remainder Mark. Flat Signed by Joe R. Lansdale on the Full Title Page on November 19, 2016 in our store.
Hap Collins and Leonard Pine return in a red-hot, mayhem-fueled thriller to face a vampire cult, the Dixie Mafia, and the deadliest assassin they’ve ever encountered—Devil Red. When their friend Marvin asks Hap and Leonard to look into a cold-case double homicide, they’re more than happy to play private investigators: they like trouble, and they especially like getting paid to find it. It turns out that both of the victims were set to inherit serious money, and one of them ran with a vampire cult. The more closely Hap and Leonard look over the crime-scene photos, the more they see, including the image of a red devil’s head painted on a tree. A little research turns up a slew of murders with that same fiendish signature. And if that’s not enough, Leonard has taken to wearing a deerstalker cap . . . Will this be the case that finally sends Hap over the edge? Full up with Lansdale’s trademark—whip-smart dialogue, relentless pacing, and unorthodox-to-say-the-least characters—Devil Red is one rambunctious thrill ride by one hell of a writer.

Alchemy allows the Library to deliver the content of the greatest works of history instantly—but the personal ownership of books is expressly forbidden. Jess Brightwell believes in the value of the Library, but the majority of his knowledge comes from illegal books obtained by his family. Jess has been sent to be his family’s spy, but his loyalties are tested in the final months of his training to enter the Library’s service. When his friend inadvertently commits heresy by creating a device that could change the world, Jess discovers that those who control the Great Library believe knowledge is more valuable than any human life—and soon both heretics and books will burn.…
